ACTIVITIES

At The King’s Daughters and Sons Home, we recognize that some people prefer to spend leisure time working a puzzle or simply watching television, while others might enjoy energetic activities and socializing. Our residents are no different, so we offer a wide array of activities to appeal to the diverse interests of our residents.

Our Activities staff designs programs that cater to alert and oriented residents, as well as those who are cognitively challenged, so that every resident can engage in an activity that suits them.

A detailed monthly calendar of group events is provided to each resident so they can plan to attend the sessions that interest them.
Among the daily scheduled events are activities such as:
  • Arts & crafts
  • Bingo
  • Church services
  • Coffee and current events
  • Exercise/stretching
  • Movies
  • Musical performances
  • Prayer Meetings
  • Word games and trivia
Monthly Event Calendar
For residents who are unable to leave their rooms or simply prefer to stay in for the day, we offer friendly one-to-one visits with a member of the Activities staff. 

You can mingle with other residents in one of the sitting areas with flat-screen TVs or enjoy the puzzles and computers. When you’re ready to enjoy some outdoor time, you can take advantage of our beautiful gazebo areas.

Group Events and Outings

In addition to our regularly scheduled activities, various volunteers and organizations sponsor parties and other group events from time to time, and we have special outings in the community. 

We’re proud of the level of involvement we have with our residents through planned activities and other daily interactions. At the King’s Daughters and Sons Home, we believe the social contact and events made available to you at our facility play an important role in supporting your efforts to restore and maintain your health during your stay with us.
